Providing global leadership and career exploration opportunities 'Youth Global Experience Program', organized by the Iowa Future Foundation, a social welfare corporation, and co-sponsored by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) and Woori Bank. 'GH Our Dream Ambassadors', a youth global experience program co-sponsored by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) and Woori Bank, has begun its first phase of activities. The first group consisted of 25 high school students in Gyeonggi-do who live in GH rental housing and were selected through recommendations from social welfare organizations. At the inauguration ceremony and domestic workshop held from May 10th to 11th, the first batch of youths, who will be traveling to the eastern United States, gathered together to form a team that will prepare for the overseas trip together through group team building, design-thinking-based camp planning, entrepreneurship lectures, and career and vision workshops, and took their first steps as global leaders. The group will then have an online and face-to-face meeting for group planning and midterm checks, and will travel to New York and Boston in the eastern United States for seven days and nine nights from July 24 to August 2. The trip will include tours of local university campuses and meetings with international students, visits to global companies and cultural institutions, and group projects, which will give the youth the opportunity to design their own career roadmap and experience different cultures. After the trip, the program will conclude with a graduation ceremony in September, where they will create a portfolio of their activities. In the future, Dream Ambassadors will be expanded to other regions in Gyeonggi-do and run for a total of four cycles. The Iowa Future Foundation said that Dream Ambassadors is not just an overseas training program, but a growth program based on youth autonomy and creativity, and hopes that the participants will draw their own career roadmap through this experience. Meanwhile, the Children and Future Foundation, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, is a welfare foundation specializing in children, adolescents, and young adults that conducts various social contribution projects in close partnership with sponsoring companies. The foundation will continue to support youth from diverse backgrounds to build their future through equal educational opportunities. |
